The Netherlands implemented a new law last week.

The law prohibits bringing products from the settlements in Judea and Samaria, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights into the country.

Anyone who violates the law may face a sentence of up to six years in prison.

In recent days, passengers arriving from Israel at Schiphol Airport reported that customs officials inspected their luggage in an unusual manner.

According to them, the inspectors were looking for, among other things, wine, dates, and olives originating from these areas. The authorities in the Netherlands did not confirm that this was the reason for the inspections.

Some passengers also complained about the treatment they received. According to one account, a customs officer yelled at passengers, telling them to be quiet and wait.

Israel responded to the Netherlands' move. أعلن وزير الخارجية جدعون ساعر أن الدبلوماسيين الهولنديين الذين يعملون في رام الله لن يتمكنوا بعد الآن من القيام بذلك من الأراضي الإسرائيلية.
