Artifacts from the First Temple period were found in Jerusalem

Archaeologists have discovered an ancient mold in Jerusalem from the First Temple period.
The residents used the mold to create sculptures of a woman's face.
Researchers estimate that the mold is about 2,700 years old.

They found it during excavations in the area belonging to the Tower of David Museum.
In the past, many statues of a woman's face were found in Jerusalem. The statues were similar to each other. The statues looked similar to each other. The researchers did not know how the statues were made. Now the mold that created the sculptures has been found.
Researchers believe that city residents used the figurines inside their homes. It is possible they used them to seek blessings, protection, or abundance.
