The Elite brand is a very famous brand in Israel.
In the past, Elite was an independent company.
But in 2004, it merged with the Strauss company.
The merged company, Strauss Group, is one of the largest food companies in Israel.
However, Elite products are still sold under the Elite brand.
Elite's sweets are part of Israeli culture.

Many Israelis remember them from their childhood. They received them at school, on trips, and during holidays. Among the famous products, you can find Cow Chocolate, Pesek Zman, Tortit, and many others. These products have been in stores for decades.
Now, the Elite brand is starting to also sell salty snacks. The first products are onion-flavored rings and sweet corn-flavored balls.
Elite representatives hope to use the veteran brand to attract buyers. Now it remains to be seen if the Israelis will also like the new products.
