Thirteen teams want to get the license. Among them are Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem. Teams from Serbia, Spain, Italy, France, and other countries have also applied.
The EuroLeague leaders can grant licenses to up to eight teams. However, they might initially select only a few teams. They will be able to make additional decisions later in the season.
Together, all the teams' proposals are worth more than 900 million euros. Each team keeps the details of its proposal confidential.
Shimon Mizrahi from Maccabi Tel Aviv attended the meeting. He will also participate in the vote.
The participants will also discuss the return of home games for Israeli teams to Israel. Senior EuroLeague representatives are expected to arrive in Israel at the beginning of next week.
