Charlotte Roth, a 96-year-old Holocaust survivor, immigrated to Israel.

She immigrated after many years of living in the United States.

She went to the Ministry of Interior in Tel Aviv to receive an Israeli ID card.

The event was exciting.

Her family members participated.

Charlotte came to the United States after World War II.

She built a family there but always dreamed of coming to Israel. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren already live in Israel. She decided to fulfill the dream and move close to them.

Charlotte was born in Czechoslovakia and survived the ghetto. She also survived the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp. Thanks to her sewing skills, the Nazis selected her for forced labor. This likely saved her life. She lost her family in the Holocaust.

During the event, Charlotte jokingly said that she survived the Nazis, so the security situation does not scare her.

Charlotte's immigration was facilitated by 'Nefesh B’Nefesh.' She also received support from the Jewish Agency and JNF-USA.
